After successfully running Pilgrims Group’s joint contract in Syria with the government’s Department for International Development (DFID) and redevelopment specialist Blumont, Tim Reece has been appointed as the Pilgrims Senior Bid Manager.

Reece will draw on his considerable insight into the operational requirements of key Pilgrims clients and consortium partners. He has a First Class BA Honours degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Leeds University and is a graduate of the Defence School of Languages in Arabic and the Iraqi Dialect. During his time with the British Army Intelligence Corps, including deployment in Iraq in support of Special Forces, he specialised in Middle East and North Africa-focused operational analysis. With his security industry experience in Iraq, Libya and United Arab Emirates - including the oil and gas market - Reece brings a security industry analyst’s perspective to the Pilgrims bids team, as well as widely relevant academic, operational and geostrategic knowledge and experience.

“As Senior Bid Manager I will work closely with Pilgrims clients to ensure an extremely tailored service is provided to meet their specific needs. By drawing on the range of services and skills in the company we can provide a complete security solution,” says Reece. “I have strong ambition to move the bid team forward, and to help position Pilgrims for even greater success in its core markets and beyond.”

Pilgrims Group Managing Director Bill Freear says: “I am delighted to welcome Tim into the Pilgrims family. He has already proven his capabilities within the company and I am excited at the potential he brings to this part of the business.”
